Day 1: Fly from UK
Day 2 – 3: Dubai Hotel Stay

For all Dubai’s futuristic appeal and abundance of western entertainments – a sleek metro that zips through the sky like something out of Blade Runner, sumptuous shopping malls, an indoor ski park, and countless bars – there is just as much fun to be had in the simple pleasures of “the Orient”: haggling for gold and frankincense in the bustling souqs, savouring the sunset from the back of a camel, inhaling from a fragrant sheesha pipe on the fairly-lit deck of an old wooden dhow.

Day 4 – 5: Dubai (Over night on Board)

Embark your ship – P&O Oceana

Day 6: Sir Bani Yas

Sir Bani Yas is famed for its wild life, both indigenous and endangered that roam free on the Island. Don’t be surprised to see majestic Giraffe’s and the endangered Arabian Oryx which is one of the largest in the world. The Arabian Wildlife Park occupies almost 50% of the island.

Day 7 – 8: Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi is simply a stunning mixture of historical culture, tradition and modern developments. The second most populated cities of the United Arab Emirates. Visit the Sheikh Zayed Mosque with its 82 white domes or the Qasr al-Hosn and 18th century Palace and Fort. Hard to believe that the country was founded only in 1971. The Louvre Abu Dhabi opened in November 2017 and is the first branch of the Louvre to open outside France.

Day 9: Bahrain (Manama)
Day 10: At Sea
Day 11: Khor Fakkan

When you are in Khor Fakkan consider an excursion to Fujairah, which has recently enjoyed something of a minor boom, mainly on the back of economic developments in neighbouring emirates, especially Dubai. The focus of much of this is the city’s massive oil-refuelling port – the world’s third largest after Singapore and Rotterdam – at the southern end of town, which is where most of the United Arab Emirates’ oil is exported from, as its east coast location saves shipping from making a two-day dog-leg around the tip of the Arabian peninsula.

Day 12: Khasab

Khasab is a port city in the northwest Omani exclave of Musandam. It is the state capital of the Musandam peninsula on the coast of the Hormuz Strait between Iran, the United Arab Emirates and Oman. Surrounded by white sandy beaches and towering mountains and peaks, the beaches are certainly worth a visit as there is an abundance of marine life. Dhows sail twice a day from Khasab to Telegraph Island and charge around RO 30 if you choose not to share.

Day 13 – 14: Dubai (Over night on-board)
Disembark your ship – P&O Oceana
Day 14: Fly UK
Day 15: Arrive UK
