Milford Sound is set in a beautiful landscape of towering green mountain ranges. Lush rainforests cling precariously to the cliffs, while seals, penguins, and dolphins often frequent the waters.
Day 5: Dunedin
Dunedin has a spectacular and varied coastline with a host of safe swimming beaches. Visit St. Clair with its vibrant and cosmopolitan Esplanade just ten minutes from the city, Tunnel Beach moody, arguably the most dramatic and romantic spot in Dunedin. For the more adventurous, visit Long Beach; a Mecca for rock climbers and cave dwellers that can be reached via Port Chalmers.
Day 6: Wellington
The capital of New Zealand has a lively culture and arts scene. Home of New Zealand’s film industry, it has earned itself the title ‘Wellywood’ in recent years. There are plenty of top-quality restaurants, cafés, bars, galleries, shops and theatres to find, with attractive Victorian architecture to feast your eyes on too.

Picton harbour is surrounded by beautiful views, palm tree lined promenades and native bush wildlife. The stunning Marlborough Sounds area can be accessed by boats and offers fishing trips and picturesque secluded bays. Queen Charlotte Sound is ideal for water sports including kayaking, diving, hiking, cycling, fishing or just taking a scenic trip and admiring some of New Zealand’s most incredible natural areas. A boat trip around the picturesque harbour offers the opportunity to swim with dolphins.
