Day 3: Bergen
The colourful Norwegian city of Bergen is also a gateway to majestic fjords. Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf will give you a sense of the local culture – take a look at the Hanseatic commercial buildings, which look like scenery from a film set. Don’t breathe too deeply when you visit the outdoor fish market, a reminder of the city’s role in early fish trade. Ferry across a fjord to Lysøen, where the former villa of 19th-century composer Ole Bull will captivate you with its fairy tale charm. A trip to the private island of Holmen will be rewarded by a ‘seafood safari’ including fresh lobster, crab, scallops, and langoustines.

Ålesund is one of the most beautiful towns in Norway. Renowned for its Jugend style architecture, art nouveau style and its very friendly inhabitants. Built on a row Islands which extend into the ocean providing stunning views of the fjords and Sunnmore Alps. The town was destroyed by fire in 1904 and rebuilt in an extravagant Art nouveau style we see today. Alesund’s layout is unique as it is built on islands stretching out into the sea with scenic views of the fjords and the Sunnmore Alps. This is the perfect destination for hikers, bird-watchers and people who appreciate natural beauty.
Day 6: Kristiansund
Day 7: Trondheim Fjord
Trondheim was Norway’s original capital city and is a lovely historic city. It overflows with life thanks to a large student population. Cycling is the transport of choice and its wide pedestrianized streets offer a great range of cafes and restaurants, as well as some fascinating museums.
Day 8: Hellesylt
Hellesylt is a port set among snow-capped mountains, deep blue fjords and an abundance of wildlife. Streams cascade down mountains creating beautiful waterfalls; magnificent glaciers reflect from the crystal waters, traditional white Norwegian timber houses line the hills, all of which create picturesque views of the stunning landscapes of Norway.

Day 11: Haugesund
Haugesund is a city surrounded by stunning landscapes, majestic mountains, picturesque fjords, cascading waterfalls and magnificent glaciers. Haugesund is home to Norway’s longest pedestrian streets lined with shops, museums, galleries and an abundance of restaurants for tourists to enjoy. The landscape offers fishing trips, hikes to hidden waterfalls and panoramic views of the harbour and fjords.
