Day 2: Bruges

This fairy tale medieval town with its cobbled lanes and picturesque canals which link attractive market squares surrounded with historic churches and old whitewashed alms-houses is the perfect place to visit. Lots to do, great shopping, restaurants and cafes. No wonder Bruges is called the Venice of the North. Famous for its beautiful lacework, chocolate and a massive range of local beers.

Day 3: Amsterdam

Amsterdam is famed the world over as the 17th century capital of Holland. Its lovely canals have more than 1,500 bridges that criss-cross the city and are lined by tilting gabled buildings. Take a leisurely stroll along the canals and follow the smell of the flowers to the Bloemen market. Visit the Van Gogh Museum or the Ann Frank House. But the top choice to visit has to be In In ‘t Aepjen (The Brown Cafe) in the medieval centre. This building has been a tavern since 1519.
