This is where you will discover the ‘undiscovered’ Caribbean. The unspoiled British Virgin island of Tortola. Amber Cove with its plethora of amber semiprecious stones, is the port’s true draw. Along with golden-sand beaches and dramatic cliffs, there’s the city of Puerto Plata, one of the Caribbean’s oldest, founded in the early 1500s. Another nearby option is Santiago de los Caballeros, known locally as simply Santiago, about an hour’s drive from the port. The second-largest city in the Dominican Republic, it is home to excellent museums, historic buildings and cigar and rum makers.

St. Maarten is an island surrounded by beautiful white sandy beaches, lively boardwalks and a mix of culture and heritage. The island is divided into two, Dutch Sint Maarten and French Saint Martin, both of which offer different culture, history and architecture making this island interesting and one of a kind. The Dutch St Maarten Is situated in the south and is alive with bustling resorts, casinos, bars and restaurants while the northern French Saint Martin reminds you of a French fishing village, filled with colour, houses built into the cliffs and mouth-watering cuisine.

Day 10: St. Lucia

St Lucia is a stunning island of mountains, lush tropical foliage, beautiful rain-forests and of course, sandy white beaches. To appreciate the islands natural beauty you must visit some of its unique attractions. The world’s only drive in volcano, getting up close with multi coloured sulphur pools. Grenada, enjoy the best of the west coast, taking in panoramic views, spice plantations and fishing villages, all typical of Grenada. Visit the one-street fishing community and Nutmeg Station to see the grading, drying and packing process and the ‘must see’ cobalt blue lake of Grand Etang. This extinct volcanic crater lake is situated a breath-taking 1,900 feet above sea level.

Day 12: St. Vincent

St. Vincent is a quiet picturesque island blanketed in green forest and stunning landscape. Visit the small volcano in the centre of the island for panoramic views of the countryside, cascading waterfalls and brightly coloured coral reefs. The paths of Montreal Gardens can be walked by tourists or take a drive to the lush banana groves and rain forests of the hilly Mesopotamia region.
