YOUR ITINERARY

Day 1  – Malta – Embark your ship – P&O Oceana

Malta is a Mediterranean island of great historical importance influenced by many great empires. The capital fortress city of Valletta, described as an open-air museum, is mainly Baroque in character having been built in the 16th century by the Order of St John of Jerusalem. It offers some of Europe’s finest palaces, churches, and works of art. Valletta harbour is surrounded by cream coloured buildings, twisting streets, hillsides beyond, fishing craft and luzzo boats below.

Day 2:  At Sea
 Day 3:  Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik is a picture-perfect medieval walled city is filled with ancient stone buildings, narrow cobbled streets and fortified ramparts rising above red-tiled rooftops. Stradun is the city’s focal point and main artery while Dubrovnik’s streets are blessedly free of traffic. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the old city remains the pride of the Republic of Croatia and houses the world’s oldest pharmacy.

 Day 4:  Ravenna

Ravenna with is rich history, beautiful attractions and great food, visitors will always find something of interest in Ravenna. You can wander around the streets admiring the beautiful mosaic works, take in the atmosphere of the bustling open markets or relax and try the local Piadina for a truly Italian experience.

 Day 5:  Venice

With its gondolas, canals, amazing restaurants, and unforgettable romantic ambiance, Venice is definitely a city not to miss. Waterfront palazzos, palaces, and churches make drifting down the Grand Canal feel like cruising through a painting. To really experience Venice, you must go to the opera or to a classical music performance, nibble fresh pasta and pastries, and linger in the exhibit halls of an art gallery. Label lovers will drool over the high-end shopping in Piazza San Marco.

 Day 6:  Split

Croatia’s second-largest city, Split is a great place to see Dalmatian life as it’s really lived. Always buzzing, this exuberant city has just the right balance of tradition and modernity. Step inside Diocletian’s Palace (a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the world’s most impressive Roman monuments) and you’ll see dozens of bars, restaurants and shops thriving amid the atmospheric old walls where Split life has been humming along for thousands of years.
